Hi! I’m Jen Molina and I’m so glad you’re here! Really, because I was once standing exactly where you are – at a fork in the road.
Every day we give our lives away to something:
- A long commute that steals away precious time from your family
- Binge watching shows on Netflix eating Ben & Jerry’s
- An unfulfilling job just to bring home a paycheck
- Losing sleep over credit card debt or filing for bankruptcy
- Stressed out you’re going to lose your house or even your marriage
My Story
Hi! I’m Jen Molina and I’m so glad you’re here! Really, because I was once standing exactly where you are – at a fork in the road. A turning point where you recognize that the pace of life has changed enough for you to notice that something is tugging at you. Perhaps you are not quite sure who to trust, what you can do to improve your quality of life, or where to begin. I get it, because that hamster wheel is about to flatten you like a yummy hot golden brown pancake like it did to me (more on that in a minute).
Before I became an Entrepreneur, I worked in the retail grocery industry for seven miserable years. I stayed because the benefits were great…for an 18-year old in the late 1980s. The way I answered my own question of ‘is this all there is’ was to enlist in the U.S. Navy! All that did was trade in the hamster wheel for a rollercoaster, but in the grand scheme of things – I do not regret a day of the 24 years I have served. Not even the tour in Afghanistan when recalled to Active Duty in the summer of 2010.
I am not anyone special. I am someone’s daughter, sister/sister-in-law, and aunt. I am a friend, a shipmate, mentor, neighbor, colleague, and business partner – someone just like you! There were many accomplishments achieved and 300 times the mistakes made and flat out falling on my face. I have gone from someone who used to blame everyone and everything for all that has gone wrong in my life to a person who is accountable for her actions and NEVER gives up.
So I mentioned earlier that I served a tour in Afghanistan. Everything I had ever done, learned, thought, and believed stopped. I was working an office job with limited growth, in the Navy Reserves, and going to college. I was desperately trying to complete my degree program before shipping out, all the while trying to be everything to everyone. It was exhausting and at the same time, sobering because I had to tie my life into a bow and mentally prepare myself to leave my family and go straight into combat training…it helped me realize a barrage of things like:
- I had been living my life on autopilot!
- My true purpose had yet to reveal itself. (I survived a traumatic event)
- Life really is not all that complicated people.
- How am I supposed to go back to a regular j.o.b.?
I won’t bore you with the gritty details of the rough transition home, but eventually I got up and running again. I met some amazing entrepreneurs and quickly found community. People from all walks of life eager to share their knowledge and expertise.
I believe in Integrity, Transparency, Service, and Honesty because frankly, there is too much fluff on the internet. Fluff is for pillows! By recognizing the pure beauty and frailty of life post war…it is okay to want more out of life. To want a fulfilling and passion-driven purpose bigger than the 9 to 5 is okay and you absolutely deserve it! I am excited to help you on your journey.
